Nutrition Areas of Emphasis

The FHI 360 Center for Nutrition provides assistance to programs focusing on a broad range of nutrition challenges. FHI 360's technical experts provide global leadership in food security, infant and young child feeding, vitamin A and other micronutrient deficiencies, application of computer-based advocacy models for nutrition, community therapeutic care for management of severe acute malnutrition, infant feeding in the context of HIV, and nutritional care and support of people with HIV/AIDS.

FHI 360 works with partners to integrate nutrition into the strategic planning process, develop nutrition guidelines and policies, integrate essential nutrition actions (ENA) into maternal, newborn, and child health services, apply a systematic behavior change approach in community-based nutrition programs in order to achieve measureable changes in practices, and improve program monitoring and evaluation.
